In early 2017, significant efforts began towards improving the economic environment in our city. The City of Shelby adopted and put into action the Shelby Economic Development Plan. With a solid plan in place, the CIC now has a clear vision of how to stimulate economic development while eliminating gaps for business retention and expansion.

For more than 25-years, people near and far travel to our community for the Shelby Bicycle Days festival. This highly anticipated family friendly event delivers loads of fun while incorporating the history of Shelby bicycles, which were once manufactured by the Shelby Cycle Company.
